Make this Cozy + Cool Pillow using Jenna's downloads
![]()
Supplies: Pillow insert (suggested size 12" x 12"), 4 sheets inkjet fabric (June Tailor™ used), fabric for pillow back, button, embroidery thread, ribbon for bow.
STEP 1. Download the 3 files listed below. Print them onto inkjet fabric sheets. Print file #1 and #2 once, print #3 twice. For a 12" x 12" pillow, file #1 and #2 will likely need to be printed at 150% size to fit a 12" x 12" pillow (shown).
FREE DOWNLOADS: (click on the name of the file and the PDF files will automatically download to your desktop - how cool is that?) Downloads may be used for personal or non-profit use only. Jenna DeAngeles downloads may not be used for ANY commercial purpose. If you use one of my downloads for a project, and you wish to publish it either on the web or in print, you agree to give Jenna DeAngeles and this website credit. Fair enough!
STEP 2. Once printed, trim sections into approx. 6.5" x 6.5" squares. With right sides together, sew the four patches as shown. Press open seam allowance.
STEP 3: Cut a single piece of fabric for the back of the pillow cover and sew with right sides together on 3 sides of the pillow cover. Turn right side out. If you like crisp points on your pillows, push a pencil tip in each corner (from the inside of the pillow) to make the tips nice and pointy. Iron.
STEP 4: Place pillow insert into cover, turn raw edges in and pin edge closed. Hand-sew the opening closed with sewing thread.
STEP 5: Using embroidery thread because it is thick, enter and exit the entire pillow with a stitch and secure it with a button on the back.
STEP 6: Tie a bow with gros grain ribbon and stitch to the center embroidery thread.
